Doug Tolmie and Dan Ibabao, who teamed on hundreds of video projects during their lengthy, successful careers at KOMO-TV (Seattle, WA ABC affiliate), form the nucleus of Storyteller's video, DVD and film projects. Doug serves as the producer/writer and Dan serves as the co-producer/editor and "sound guy." Doug and Dan usually team with videographer/editor Chris Raaum, who worked with them at KOMO for more than 20 years. Collectively, Doug, Dan and Chris contributed their talents to nearly 2,000 programs, documentaries, stories, and live events - and along the way were honored with nearly 40 Emmy awards for their work, plus dozens of other major national and regional awards. Dan even received broadcasting's highest award, the Peabody, for his work editing a portion of a series of environmental documentaries.
While at KOMO, Doug and Dan acquired reputations as among the best video storytellers in the region. Whether it was a documentary or a powerful news special report, or a five-part high-profile news series, Doug and Dan consistently produced projects that exceeded ratings expectations, that captured and held the attention of viewers, and that often resulted in lifelong friendships with some of the people featured in the projects. They never failed to meet a deadline and they never exceeded budget.
For video projects, we provide one of the most experienced and honored production teams in the region. When it comes to crafting stories that inform, influence and inspire, we have few equals (and most are still employed in broadcast.) As broadcast veterans, we are used to working quickly under demanding deadlines and within tight budgets. And we do it all with a three-person production crew that shoots on digital mini-DV, edits on the latest version of Final Cut Pro, and masters projects onto DVD. We handle all production needs including graphics, music, narration and DVD duplication (if desired).
Among the many video, DVD and film services we provide are:
