Your creativity, attention to detail, can-do attitude and professionalism
couldn't result in anything less than accolades and honors. - Monica Ramsey, KCTS Public Television
This is our third Silver Telly in the Live Events category in the last four years. Previously we won for the 2004 and 2005 Wings of Heroes Galas we produced for the Museum of Flight.
The Telly Awards competition annually showcases the best work of the world's most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television networks, cable channels, television stations, and corporate video departments. It is a widely known and highly respected national and international competition, receiving more than 14,000 global entries annually. Silver Tellys are given to winners and Bronze Tellys are given to finalists in each category.
Competition for a Silver Telly is fierce. To win one is a significant accomplishment. To win three in four years against the best in the world is both humbling and gratifying.
The Visions of Valor Gala honored 25 Congressional Medal of Honor recipients in a black-tie event at Seattle's Museum of Flight on April 27, 2007. Hosted by Bruce & Jolene McCaw and Dave & Cathy McIntyre, the event featured numerous video elements, recognition of each Medal of Honor recipient, an unforgettable POW/MIA tribute plus awards of national significance to actor Gary Sinise, Congressman Norm Dicks, and the former Chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General John Shalikashvili.
The Wings of Heroes Gala presented by the Boeing Company to benefit the Museum of Flight in Seattle on June 9, 2007 celebrated the opening of a new space exhibit at the museum and paid tribute to the pilots and support personnel of the groundbreaking X-15 program. This black-tie event featured a keynote address from former X-15 pilot and NASA astronaut Neil Armstrong. Additionally, the event acknowledged Charles Simonyi for his April 2007 flight to the International Space Station.
